Balanced-brained?

July 23rd, 2006 | 8 Comments | Posted in Personal

Found this brain test and I thought I give it a try. :)
And here’s what it says:

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

H, you are Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

Well, am I? :?

Bread & Breakfast

July 22nd, 2006 | 8 Comments | Posted in Personal

Looked for breakfast this morning with Nina and Adrian. (Uh, I love to drive on Saturday or Sunday morning when Jakarta’s traffics are alot less hectic :)). Nina read somewhere that there’s a good place for breakfast in Kemang called ‘Bread & Breakfast’. So we went there to try it.

I think it’s been there quite sometimes but we just knew about it. Right in front of Graha Kapital, a few meters from KFC kemang, Bread & Breakfast is a small place on the 2nd floor with lime green exterior. Nice interior with a small balcony and what’s important.. indeed, the menu is really good and the price is appropriate! Yumm… I think this place has became one of our new favorites. :)

2nd Day of School = Birthday!

July 18th, 2006 | 7 Comments | Posted in Personal

Udah excited karena sekolah, Adrian tambah excited karena sekaligus ulang tahun! Maen bola2, maen kereta-kereta api-an, nyanyi2, tiup lilin, potong kue, dia happy banget.

“So, happy birthday son! Hugs, kisses and a myriad of loves from Mom and Dad”

1st Day of School

Tanggal 17 Juli kemarin hari pertama Adrian sekolah. Tapi pagi2 udah nangis, berhubung Adrian nggak mau pake baju seragam. Emang selama ini dia nggak pernah dipake’in baju kemeja. :) So setelah dibujuk2 akhirnya mau pake celananya aja.

Rian: Kakak Rian!
Ibu Guru: Ooo, kakak Rian. Rumahnya dimana?
Rian: Setiabudi dua!
Ibu Guru: Kemarin liburan, Adrian kemana?
Rian: ke Taman Lalu-Lintas (Taman Lalu Lintas di Bandung maksudnya..)
Ibu Guru: Trus ke mana lagi?
Rian: Ke rumah Om Yayas!!

Jam 11.15, dengan bangganya sambil bawa ransel, Rian pulang sekolah. Tapi malamnya sebelum bobo minta kakinya dipijat, cape katanya… :D

3 Days, 2 Nights

July 16th, 2006 | 5 Comments | Posted in Personal

Just like that, we were off to Bandung for 3 days and 2 nights.

It was not weekend nor national holidays. When it came to our mind that there is a slight possibility to leave works and the everyday’s routines, last Tuesday we just booked the hotel, bought the tickets, arranged the car rental and then.. off to Bandung! That’s just typical me and my wife. If we planned a vacation long before the D-day, it usually won’t happened. Once, we even planned to take Adrian to a swimming pool at Pondok Indah, when finally ended up to Anyer, 230km North West of Jakarta!
