Presenting at FreSh!
FreSh! (Freedom of Sharing!) is a growing local community for people in the creative industry, especially related to internet and online branding. The community have held several bi-monthly gathering where everybody could share and present things related to the topic. The 4th FreSh! gathering chose a topic of “Freelancer vs Job Publishers” and I was honored to be asked by one of the Admins to present something.
With the relatively short time to prepare (I was called only 2 days prior to the event’s date) actually I was kinda not sure of what I wanted to present. There are simplest and quickest things which is “tips and how to’s” but personally I kinda had enough of it. Google it and you’ll find thousand of tips and how to’s for freelancers. Furthermore, most tips and how to’s usually lists things that’s actually already known by the freelancers: build killer portfolio, get more projects, manage your time, work hard, get rest, and so on… Yeah, every freelancers know (and should know) about that! ;) If I have to share yet another tips and how to’s, it has to be about things that are specific enough.
So, encouraged and helped by my friend, here’s… yet another tips for freelancers! ;D Things from experiences and best practice that I hope unique enough for you fellow freelancers. (Thanks Pitra for uploading this to Slideshare)
